I really love this one.
Spotted on the wall of
La Cocotte, the Alliance Française café in Dublin, it depicts Napoleon dictating his memoirs to
General Gourgaud.
It is a marketing poster for the
EMPIRE typewriter, formerly known as the Wellington (no not after that Wellington).
The real life situation is impossible as the first of these typewriters was not marketed until 1892.
However, as a bit of cheek it's first class.
